Punkin Patch

Forgot to post about this after it happened...but I figure it's NEVER too late for cute pictures of my babies.

Emma's class went on a field trip to E.Z. Orchards and had a great time! They took a tractor-hay ride out to the patch to pick their special pumpkin...Got to see how tall they were...
Lincoln even got in on the action. Although, his taste in pumpkins was a liiiittle different...
Got to fly down a really cool slide...
Got to pick their own apple in the orchards...
Got to pet the animals...

Got to ride and rope 'em...
And, of course, they got an apple cider donut with apple cider to drink!

Oh, and Mama got to pick out some really yummy fresh farm produce. mmmmm. I love that place.

For Today...

Outside my Window...A BEAUTIFUL fall day. Blue skies, warm sun, lots of color. aaahhh.

I am thinking...that I'm going to try something new in my crockpot soon and going to use it WAY more often.

From the living room...Will diving into some books. Clutter. Always clutter.

I am thankful for...the blessings God gives at JUST the right time. He's never late.

From the kitchen...school papers, school pictures, calender, bills and, of course, dishes.

I am wearing...blue jeans, white shirt, and my shoes? why, I don't know.

I am reading...Just finished The Hiding Place - LOVE IT. Great perspective. My Bible. Just started Shepherding a Child's Heart...

I am hoping...that it's not forever until we see our Cali. families.

I am creating...a plan for an almost costless Christmas, a grocery budget that is so low it's a bit scary, and a photo book for some friends.

I am hearing...God's voice telling us to be patient and wait. The quite of my apartment with kiddos resting. But the noise of the people upstairs...again.

Around the house...things still in boxes 'cause there's no place for them, organizing to be done, love abounds.

One of my favorite things...long chats and quality time with good friends. ...and coffee.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...dinner w/ friends, riding w/ a friend to a friends for a Partylite Party, some play time outdoors in the wonderful fall weather, church, FPU on video, meal planning, coupon-clipping, lots of busy work, some exercise, cleaning of bathrooms.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

A 5 generation picture of the women in my family.

Grandma, Nanny (now with the Lord) holding Emma, me, and my mom.

Taken in Arkansas ya'll...watch out for them chiggers!

Faithful Friends

"We're in Sisters and we're coming over!"

Music to my hears. Our wonderful friends the Norris Fam made an impromptu (2.5 hour drive) visit to see us Sunday evening and stayed the night and part of Monday. We were excited to say the least! And they couldn't have come at a better time. We needed some friend fellowship, fun, laughter, and prayer-time, so God sent them our way:) And we were blessed in more than just a few ways...

We love you guys!!! And miss you daily.

Bedtime story with Will.
Playtime at the park.

Carousel time.
Jenny wants OFF!

Other good times with the N5 this last summer back in Central Oregon...

Gregness. For those who don't know, you're missin' out:)

"Stinkin'" Adorable!

Our typical October 31st would usually consist of a church Harvest Party and neighborhood candy retrieval, but since this year found our family at the coast on that day, we took ourselves down to the Lincoln City outlets for some safe, rain-free costume-parading and candy-collecting.

Little "Stinker" - who, by the way, won the award of the night for most oooo's and aaahhhh's from the crowd! I've never heard so many people go on and on about how cute he was! We even had random people video taping him, asking to take his picture, and giving him their vote for best costume! So fun!

...and because you just can't get the full effect unless you see him walk...here you go!

Our neck of the woods!

So, on Saturday, just kind of spur of the moment, we decided to take a little drive out to Silver Creek Falls State Park. This beautiful piece of God's creation is just a 30 minute drive from us and holds special memories for Billy and I.

I guess you could say, it's where it all began:)

First Valentine's
First Kiss
First Dance

...and a promise.

We didn't have near enough time to take it all in this time around, but we'll go back, of course. Many times. I hope you enjoy the amazing scenery and fall colors as much as we did! ...and sorry, but I just couldn't pick a few...

Yes, Central Oregon, we have FIELDS of christmas trees to choose from:)

See that little pile of rocks, and, now, overgrown bushes?? That's where Billy proposed! Right at the top of the South Fall.

The top of the falls...

On our way down to the South Fall.

Beautiful. and yes, that's people behind the falls and that's where we're headed!

The "caves" behind the falls.:)

You can feel the mist. Very cool.
Too close of a close-up for my face, and what does THAT look mean, Billy?

Hiking back out...a look back.

Just thought it was a pretty bridge.
