OK, not really thirty, but thirty-three, flirty, and thriving just didn't have the same ring to it.
OK, not flirty either. Well... except with the one that it's legal for me to flirt with.:)
Hey, I'm keepin' the thriving part. Because I'm striving every day to thrive in this life. In my relationships with Jesus, with my hubs, my kids, my family and friends.
Anyway. Moving right along.
So apparently turning 33 literally did overnight damage, because I could not come up with an interesting way to talk about turning 33 to save my life today. And further evidence of my brain becoming mush would be my lapse in judgement that caused me to ask my relaxed, sleepy hubby at 10 o'clock at night what his thoughts were on the subject.
I mean I love my hubby and all but the blog post ideas,
33 and Lusci*us (yeah, he might be a tad bit biased and um, CRAZY, AND I'm not really sure how I would have followed up the title.),
Famous people in history who have died at age 33 (still wondering how this one is supposed to make me feel better about turning 33),
and 33 Things I love about my hubby (is there some hint hidden in there somewhere?),
hardly constitute a good post idea. No offense honey.
So, with that being said, I'll leave you with a picture from my birthday lunch that my mom treated me to at Chipotle. Thanks, Mom! Yes, it was my first time, and, yes, I big-fuzzy-red-heart Chipotle.
Well, that about sums it up. What, I'm not sure, I'll have to get back to you when I turn ? and find my brain again.
All in all, it was a good day that began with sweet cards from the hubs and kids, lunch with my mom, not lifting a finger in the kitchen to cook or clean, except for the chicklets breakfast (is that bad?), many a birthday wish, dinner out with my family, followed by a free mountainous Mud Pie (Don't blame me there's not a picture of it. Chalk it up to being 33.), and then back to normal life. Normal is good. You won't find me complaining about normal. When you're 33 you'll take "normal" any day.
So here's to being thirty-three, normal, and thriving!
...guess it's not so bad after all.;)

Sounds like a wonderful day. I am going to have to track down this Chipotle place and check it out - sounds like everyone loves it!
Mmmm. Mud pie! Many happy returns!

Happy Birthday Cathy!
I would rather be turning 33 than 35! Hah! I am so glad you had a great day and your family celebrated you well. If you were here it would give us all the joy of going out to celebrate. I think the next time you come we should do that!
Have a great day after your birthday!-Kristn
So glad you enjoyed your lunch, my darling daughter. No joke, Cathy, you are darling - gorgeous, in fact! I'm very proud of the way you look, both inside and out. So where's the picture Emma took of us? It certainly turned out good enough to post. Send it to me, and I'll use it, if you don't mind :) I love you, and I'm glad you had a good birthday. Your Dad & I are looking forward to Sunday. We don't seem to get enough opportunities to show you just how special you are to us. We're so glad God gave YOU to us!
Oh Cathy - It's your Jesus b-day!! Be inspired this whole year as you reflect on all that Christ did by age 33!!! He was 33 when He started His ministry.
My friend had a Jesus cake on her 33rd with his picture airbrushed onto her cake...and she always gives friends a Little Jesus figurine on their 33rd.
So, Happy Jesus birthday!!
Hey, just found you through MckMama - great blog you have! Your family is beautiful! Happy Birthday. Peace.
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday, friend. Sorry I missed it. It's on my calendar...I just wasn't here...
Happy Birthday!!!
I am SO behind on my blog reading this week. And I'm sad about it now because I missed telling you HAPPY BIRTHDAY until now. I hope your day was really great!
