Not Me! Monday

So are you ready to lay it all out there (and live to tell about it)? Then just head on over to My Charming Kids and join MckMama and the rest of us for some free therapy!

This past week, my hubby did not hit me in the bum with an empty glass and say, "didn't fit". And this did not instantly cause us both to break out in uncontrollable giggles! Definitely not us.

My daughter did not make up another Babes-original song to the tune of, "I've been searchin'. I've been searchin'. I've been searchin' for 8 long years". Never did find out what she's searching for...perhaps a mama that's not crazy? Or maybe a mama that could teach her about years and birthdays? She's 5, but she's been searching for 8. hmmm.

And when my hubs said, "Excuse me." to her she did not break out into another spontaneous song and sing, "Excuse ME. You got to Christ the Lord!" Preach it, Sissie! She apparently gets her talents for song writing from her daddy.

And I did not get slightly irritated, and by slightly I mean a lot, when Babes spilled her drink at dinner after repeatedly telling her to stop playing and face forward. This mama does not cry over spilled milk, people. Apparently just water. Ahem. No Mom of the Day award for me.

While on a women's retreat with my church this weekend, if you had been a fly on the wall in the room of my friends and I, you most assuredly would NOT have heard us talking about bodily functions and other things that grown women most definitely do not laugh about until their sides ache discuss. Nope. Certainly not. We are much to mature for that.

Wow. It sure was good to get all those things that I did.not.do. off my chest. And you will not see me here again next week, same place, most likely not the same time, for Not me! Monday.
